Perhaps the biggest hip-hop star to emerge from Louisiana will perform a special show celebrating LSU’s 2023 women’s basketball national championship ahead of the start of the new season.

Lil Wayne will headline a concert at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge on November 15.

Wayne was a mainstay of the team’s hype videos on their road to the national title last year, and has long been a fan of the Tigers’ head coach Kim Mulkey.

The rumor mill is already buzzing that the performance could also result in a collaboration between Wayne and LSU guard Flau’Jae Johnson, who is a rising rap star herself.

One thing is definite though: Wayne will be joined on the bill by fellow rapper Latto, most notably known for her #3 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Big Energy” and a recent #1 hit collaboration with Korean pop star Jung Kook.

Tickets to the show go on sale Tuesday, October 17, at 10 am and can be purchased by clicking here.
