The Republican US Senate Primary in Louisiana ended in a runoff between Julia Letlow and John Fleming. Bill Cassidy will not return to the US Senate for another term.
The winner of the Republican runoff will face the winner of the Democratic runoff between Gary Crockett and Jamie Davis.

- Joseph Cao will be in a runoff with Ellie Schroder for BESE District 1.

- Kenner Mayor Michael Glaser avoided a runoff by just 21 votes and was reelected.
- Mitch Orgeron won the race for Lafourche Parish President, avoiding a runoff by just 17 votes.
