The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office says deputies quickly arrest a suspected armed robber as he robs a package delivery truck.
They say 33-year-old Jeremy McDavis from Harvey allegedly robbed a package delivery truck Wednesday about 7:00 p.m.
The incident happened at an apartment complex on Magnolia Beach Drive in Denham Springs.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard says, “A witness confirmed that a delivery driver was being held at gunpoint by a masked suspect. Deputies arrived as the suspect was attempting to flee the scene in a black sedan. The suspect refused to yield to LPSO deputies. Instead, he increased speed as he disregarded traffic laws & put lives in danger along LA Hwy 16, near Denham Springs’ Antique Village, Sullivan Street, River Road & 4H Club Road before crashing his vehicle on LA Hwy 1032. He was taken into custody without incident.”
Sheriff Ard says following the crash, numerous packages with shipping labels were located in & around the crash site along with a gun, mask & drug paraphernalia.
