Members of the New Orleans City Council hope to get some answers today about the Memorial Day Weekend blackout that left thousands without power.

New Orleans City Council vice president Helena Moreno says they have lots of questions about the rolling blackouts.

"How was it determined who was going to get their power cut?" Moreno asks, noting that New Orleans customers seemed to get the worst.

"We had more than half (of the outages). So Jefferson, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard in the Entergy territory also had outages, but the amount of outages we had in New Orleans were more than all three of those other parishes combined," Moreno said.

Officials from Entergy and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) will be there.

The council has also invited local members of the Public Service Commission, who also have many questions for the utility and MISO, to join them.
