With Mother’s Day fast approaching, some shoppers may be bracing for higher prices or limited flower availability.

But one local florist says there’s no shortage of blooms in their shop. At Villere's Florist, their ability to use multiple resources helped.

“We definitely saw some price increases due to the tariffs,” Roger Villere said. “But by ordering in bulk and working with several vendors, we were able to keep costs moderate and ensure we’d have enough for our biggest week.”

Although customers may notice slight price hikes compared to previous years, Villere says they were able to keep adjustments at or below ten percent, he emphasizes that there’s still plenty of fresh inventory to go around.

“Mother’s Day is one of our biggest weeks of the year, and we've got refrigerators full of fresh cut flowers,” says Villere.

With strong supply and a wide range of arrangements available, customers are encouraged to place orders soon.

"Friday and especially Saturday will be busy."
