Valentine’s Day is synonymous with romance, and the word “romance” conjures up so many iconic images: flowers, chocolate hearts, amorous glances shared across the table while sharing a luxurious meal of… waffles and hash browns?
For one Louisiana couple, all it took was one glance at a social media ad, and suddenly a quirky Valentine’s Day experience became irresistible.

“Our relationship is built on laughter and love,” said Kim Domangue. “What more fun way to have a memorable Valentine’s night than to go to the most unexpected place. Waffle House ran an ad on Facebook, and it sucked me right in!”
Kim said she and her husband Daniel were treated to first-class service at the Waffle House location in Watson, La., where she made her reservation.

“The staff treated us as if we were in a 5-star restaurant!” she said. “As we walked in, ‘Good evening. Do you have a reservation?’ After we checked in, we were escorted to the backdrop for our photo. Waffle House even had a cardstock holder for our photo! We were seated to our beautifully set table (candles included).”

Daniel dined on steak and eggs, while Kim “couldn’t resist” a pink, heart-shaped waffle. And it sounds like, if you’re looking for the Domangues next February 14, you might know where to find them.
“10/10! We most definitely would go back!” Kim said. “Such a fun, no-pressure night. Isn’t that what it is supposed to be? No pressure. Fun.
Memorable.”
