The National Hurricane Center's "cone of uncertainty" for Tropical Storm Eta has shrunk, and no longer includes Louisiana.
Forecasts show a pair of front coming through our area the next few days will keep Eta to the eastern side of the Gulf of Mexico.
"The current forecast track maintains Eta as at least a moderate tropical cyclone through the period, with only a slight bend back toward the northwest when the system is
expected to interact with an approaching frontal system," said National Hurricane Center Senior Hurricane Specialist Stacy Stewart.
A tropical storm watch has been posted for Florida's west coast from Englewood to the Suwanee River.
