There will be a chill in the air soon in greater New Orleans, with temperatures expected to plunge into more “fall-like” weather. How are locals feeling about the coming change? One local resident is looking forward to “gumbo weather”, with another arguing that it was actually “chilli weather” … regardless, culinary enthusiasts will be able to fire up their favorites soon as temperatures drop.
Many in the region have noted the seemingly late start to autumnal temperatures. Some have lamented the lack of cool weather while others say they live in south Louisiana specifically to avoid the cold. One New Orleans resident noted, “I don’t have working air conditioning in my car, so this weather has been a long time coming!”
Halloween night will have a bit of a chill in the air and trick or treaters may want to bundle up a bit. The cool weather will usher in November, a time when many Louisiana residents are planning their family gatherings expecting cold to be in the air. One particularly festive New Orleanian noted Thanksgiving being around the corner by saying, “This time of year just makes me want to eat! I’m excited! Bring it on!”
