The New Orleans themed float, Louisiana’s entry in the 2022 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, won a prestigious award.
Entitled ‘Feed your soul’, the float depicted a balcony in the French Quarter and a bayou with plenty of native creatures.
The float was 55 feet in length and made of more than 34,000 roses and magnolias.
The entry won the Wrigley Legacy Award for the most outstanding display of floral presentation, design and entertainment from the Tournament of Roses Parade committee.
This is the first time the State was represented by a float in the Rose Parade.
Just last month, a float entitled the Celebration Gator rolled in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
