A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run crash on I-12, according to Louisiana State Police.
It happened Monday about 10:30 p.m. on westbound I-12 east of US 11 in St. Tammany Parish. The victim, later identified as 52-year-old Ada Jones, was found on the right shoulder of I-12 with fatal injuries consistent with a vehicle impact. She was pronounced deceased on the scene by the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office. Jones had been reported as a missing person hours prior to the crash. Authorities are working to find the driver and vehicle involved in the fatal crash.
