Louisiana State Police are looking into what led to a man driving off the road in Terrebonne Parish and crashed into a storm drain head-on.
State police say on December 22, at around 8:00 p.m. troopers were called to a single-vehicle crash on Isle of Cuba Road in Terrebonne Parish.
They say, Michael Dupre, 28, of Morgan City was driving west on Isle of Cuba Road in a 2014 Chevy Cruze when for unknown reasons he veered off the road and hit the drain culvert.
Dupre was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered severe injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
A standard toxicology sample was collected from Dupre and submitted for analysis.
