A Harahan man is dead after state troopers say a car hit him while he was riding an electric scooter on a major roadway.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Dickory Avenue near Citrus Boulevard.
State troopers say a car hit Christopher Harris and his scooter as he was pulling out of a business’s parking lot onto Dickory. Harris, 32, later died at a hospital. Investigators say he was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
