Officials today announced that there will not be a parade in Metairie Saturday night with the forecast for stormy weather.
"The Magical Krewe of MadHatters will now roll on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024 following the Krewe of Atlas," Jefferson Parish Spokeswoman Gretchen Hirt said in a news release.
Atlas will no roll two hours earlier than normal on Sunday, stepping off at 2:00pm.
She says it is all "due to the anticipated inclement weather forecast for Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024."
MadHatters was scheduled to roll on Saturday at 5:00pm.
"At this time, no official changes have been made to this year’s Family Gras entertainment schedule."
