A Lafourche Parish man is facing armed robbery, aggravated battery, and other charges after sheriff's deputies say he violated a protective order and threatened to kill the woman who filed that protective order.
According to Sheriff Craig Webre, Fruge, 32, went to the woman's Bayou Blue home twice on Friday. Webre says when Fruge arrived for the second time, the woman called 911. That's when, Webre says, Fruge shoved the victim to the floor, put a gun to the woman's head, and threatened to shoot her. Webre also accuses Fruge of pistol-whipping the victim and stealing money from her purse.
The woman, Webre says, escaped and ran to a neighbor's house to call for help. Deputies arrested Fruge when they arrived at the home.
Fruge remains in jail on $276,000 bond.
