New Orleans Police are working today to determine if a man who allegedly broke into a home, was killed by the dog inside.
It happened at about 6:41 p.m. Sunday evening at a home on South Claiborne Avenue near Leonidas.
An initial report from NOPD says the 66-year-old man climbed into the window of the home.
Residents called the police to report the incident. Arriving officers said the man was dead on the scene and was "possibly attacked by a dog inside" the home.
