New Orleans Police say they have booked a suspect after a shooting Tuesday afternoon in New Orleans.
The arrestee allegedly disarmed another man and shot him with his own gun.
"Armed victim and suspect in physical altercation when suspect took the victim's weapon and shot the victim," according to an initial police report.
Investigators say during the fight Darrell Weatherspoon was able to get a hold of the other man's gun and use it against him.
"Victim was transported to local hospital via NOEMS. Suspect apprehended on scene."
The alleged crime occurred when Weatherspoon used the weapon against the newly disarmed man.
