New Orleans Police say they were able to identify the suspect in a machete attack after he, himself, showed up at the ER with a wound.
An initial police report says 39-year-old Kasey Carrol went to the victim’s home and lied about why we was there.
“The victim knocked on the suspect door to do maintenance work.”
NOPD says Carrol then attacked the 45-year-old victim.
“The suspect stabbed the victim with a machete twice in his head.”
Detectives say Carrol injured himself with the blade.
“The suspect later arrived at the hospital with laceration to hand.”
The report says the victim was also hospitalized, but didn’t say his condition.
The home is in the 2000 block of Poydras Street.
