Man found shot to death inside vehicle says NOPD

Police in New Orleans are investigating a New Orleans East homicide.

It happened Tuesday at around 11:22 p.m. on Clouet Street in the Florida area neighborhood.


“Fifth District officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Clouet Street to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive unidentified adult male inside of a vehicle. The victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s) and was later pronounced dead on the scene by EMS,” said an NOPD report.

The investigation is on-going and detectives are attempting to determine a motive and a suspect in the incident.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's name and the official cause of death.
