A shooting in the Upper Ninth Ward has left a man dead and police searching for clues.
That shooting happened just before 8 a. m. Sunday on North Villere at France Street, about two blocks from Poland Avenue.
According to a New Orleans Police Department spokesperson, the victim was shot once. An EMS crew pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police did not say if they have identified a suspect.
