New Orleans Police are looking for a killer after a shooting in Mid-City.
"NOPD is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of North Carrollton," Public Information Officer Karen Boudrie said in an email. "Initial reports show a male was shot at least one time."
It happened shortly after 11:00pm Sunday night.
Around 1:30am, Boudrie told us the victim had died.
"This shooting has now been declared a homicide."
An initial police report indicates the murder happened at a business.
"The victim was working at the business when he was involved in an altercation. The suspect produced the firearm and shot the victim in the chest. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he expired."
WWL TV reports the victim was a security guard at a local business, shot by a suspect who then fled in a Kia Soul.
