Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting on the Westbank.
The sheriff's office says shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday, deputies were sent to investigate multiple reports of gunfire in the 1100 block of St. Michael Drive in Harvey.
"Upon their arrival, they located an unresponsive adult male on the ground outside a residence," said Sgt. Brandon Veal with the sheriff's office. "He was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene."
