The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 2400 block of Montegut Street overnight it sent one man to the hospital.
"Victim driving in area when unknown suspect fired shots at his vehicle. Victim struck and was transported to local hospital," according to an initial police report.
It happened shortly after midnight.
There was no word on the victim's condition.
