The New Orleans Police Department is working to find out how a 30-year-old man was shot in the Desire area Tuesday night.
Authorities believe the shooting happened in the 4800 block of Chef Menteur Highway, but are working to find the exact location as well as a suspect and motive.
Initial reports the male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He arrived at the hospital via private conveyance. Police received the initial call at 9:48 p.m.
