New Orleans Police report four shootings since yesterday, most recently a man shot in the lower French Quarter early this morning.
NOPD says the victim was shot in the area of Decatur and Gov. Nicholls streets around 5:30. Police say he arrived at the hospital via private transportation to be treated for his injuries.
Earlier this morning, around 2:30, police say a man was shot in Algiers, in the 3000 block of De Armas St. off of Gen. Meyer Ave.
Tuesday night, a child was injured in a shooting in the Lower Garden District. It happened shortly before 8 p.m. in the 600 block of Felicity St.
The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports a man was seen being taken into custody in that area about half an hour later.
Yesterday afternoon, police report a man shot on Holley Lane in the Lake Forest subdivision.
