New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 1800 block of Gentilly Boulevard.
Police say it was around 11 a.m. Friday when officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.
"Initial information shows a male gunshot wound victim was located on scene," said police in a statement. "The victim in this incident has been declared deceased at a local hospital."
