The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in New Orleans East.
It happened today at about 7:33 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Downman Road.
Initial police reports show a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg has been transported via EMS to a local hospital. His condition is unknown
The investigation is ongoing.
