One person is dead, and Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies are seeking answers after a Saturday afternoon shooing in Marrero.
According to JPSO spokesperson Jason Rivarde, the shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. at a home on Melba Place near Rue Louis Phillipe.
Rivarde says responding deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived. That victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rivarde says investigators have not yet developed any suspects or possible motives.
