New Orleans police are investigating a highway fatality Saturday morning in New Orleans East.
Police say a car struck a man at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Werner Avenue around 4:45 a.m.
Paramedics took the injured man to the hospital, where he died a short time later.
Police say the driver of the car remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
NOPD advises a drone has been deployed in the area to help with their investigation.
