Man who tricked women into changing his diapers allegedly at it again

A man who pled guilty in 2019 to hoodwinking women into changing his diapers while pretending to be a disabled patient has been arrested once again on similar charges.

Rutledge Deas IV, 31, was booked on December 23rd on human trafficking charges in Jefferson Parish. His previous incidents occurred in New Orleans.

According to nola.com State Police investigated an allegation from a woman who claimed Deas sent her a $50 advance for services under the pretense that he was mentally disabled and incontinent. He also allegedly requested the woman find other babysitters.

Nola.com covered the hearing in JP Magistrate Court Friday, noting State Police Trooper Nicole Barbe testified that Deas has a fetish that drives him to this fraudulent behavior.

“There's a lot of pornography involving babysitters and adults diapers pretending to be babies,” said Barbe of a search of Deas' phone.
