Metairie, Mandeville parades roll today

St. Patrick's Parade
WWL

Three parades will roll today, two of which were rescheduled because of inclement weather.

The Krewe of Argus Mardi Gras Parade will roll in Old Metairie ahead of the annual St. Patrick's Parade. The Argus parade was postponed from its Fat Tuesday schedule because of high winds on the holiday. Argus will follow the St. Patrick's Parade route--starting at the corner of Severn Avenue and 41st Street, following Severn before taking a left onto Metairie Road before ending at the intersection of Focis and Canal Streets. The Argus Parade rolls at 10 a.m. and will be immediately followed by the St. Patrick's Parade.

On the Northshore, the Krewe du Pooch will march along the Mandeville lakefront starting at noon. That parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, but it was pushed back because of yesterday's storms. Lineup begins at 11 a.m. at the corner of Marigny Avenue and Jefferson Street with the parade beginning at noon. The parade will follow Marigny Avenue, Lakeshore Drive, and Girod Street before ending at the Mandeville Trailhead, where a block party will continue until 4:30 p.m.
