New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Section is investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old male dead. The offense occurred shortly before 9:30 P.M., in the 400 block of North Carrollton Avenue near the intersection with St. Louis Street and a nearby ice cream shop.
According to investigators, Third District officers responded to a call of a shooting and upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Emergency Medical Technicians pronounced the man dead on scene.
Detectives are in the process of gathering information to identify the person responsible for the Homicide and a motive.
