A body found in Assumption Parish last night turns out to be a missing Thibodaux man, the Lafourche parish Sheriff's office announced Tuesday.
Authorities say the body of Troymichael Johnlouis was found in Bayou Lafourche in the Supreme area, about ten miles north of Thibodaux. The body had gunshot and other wounds.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
Lafourche Sheriff's deputies had been looking for Johnlouis since he was reported missing the morning of September 17.
Detectives from Lafourche and Assumption parishes are working together on the case.
