A fugitive wanted on drugs charges in Mississippi is in the St. Tammany Parish jail after deputies found him at a truck stop.
According to a sheriff's office spokesperson, deputies arrested Michael Williams, 34, after noticing him at the Gause Boulevard gas station. According to investigators, when they searched Williams, they found fentanyl, meth, and the anti-seizure drug clonazepam on his person.
Deputies booked Williams into jail on two counts of drug possession and one count of possession with intent to distribute.
St. Tammany authorities did not say when they would transfer Williams back to Mississippi to face his charges there.
