A Monroe woman was arrested Friday for allegedly stabbing a man for having another woman’s name tattooed on his body.
A witness to the altercation told police that Jessica Cahill, 32, was fighting with the unnamed male victim, and that she tried to stab the witness as well when they tried to get involved and break up the fight.
When police reached the victim though at Monroe Medical Center, he said Cahill did not stab him.
With police still speaking with witnesses at the medical facility, Cahill was seen driving by, leading to police stopping her vehicle.
During the traffic stop, a kitchen knife was found in Cahill’s car.
Cahill has been charged with aggravated domestic abuse battery and aggravated assault. Her bond is set at $10,000.
