
Headed into the final month of the campaign for mayor, campaign finance reports show Helena Moreno in a position to greatly outspend her opposition.
The Moreno campaign reports more than $1.4 million in cash on hand. Royce Duplessis reports a little more than $590,000, and Oliver Thomas's filing shows around $316,000.
Duplessis led the reporting period in donations, reporting total receipts of more than $584,000. Moreno reports collecting more than $470,000, and the Thomas campaign reported taking in more than $115,000.
Moreno spent the most of the three leading candidates, reporting more than $736,000 in expenditures. Thomas reported more than $224,000 in spending, and the Duplessis campaign reported spending slightly more than $153,000.
Early voting begins Sep. 27, and election day is Oct. 11.
