Morning shooting in Treme sends man to hospital, 1 arrested

Gunfire in the Treme neighborhood this morning wounded one man.

"The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 2600 block of Ursulines Avenue. Initial information shows an adult male sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported via EMS to a local hospital," Senior Public Information Officer Aaron Looney said in an email.

He said it happened about 5:40am.

Hour later, police announced a suspect in the shooting surrendered to officers with the Special Operations Division.

Cops arrested 30-year-old Terrance Lee, on one count of second degree battery.
