The Louisiana State Police say the crash took the life of 50-year-old Charles G. Trapani from Wisconsin.
An LSP police report says, “The initial investigation led Troopers to determine that Trapani was northbound on LA 434 on a 2017 Harley Davidson Motorcycle when a southbound 2014 Cadillac CTS, driven by 33-year-old Lois B. Roman, made a left turn towards Berry Todd Road in front of him. Trapani was wearing an approved DOT helmet and was ejected off of his motorcycle upon impact with the Cadillac. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene.”
Authorities say they don’t suspect impairment was a factor in the crash. Roman was cited for Failure to Yield while turning left the crash remains under investigation.
