A motorcyclist ran off a Metairie street and collided with a tree last night.
The fatal incident happened at the intersection of Clearview Parkway and Citrus Boulevard before 8pm.
The motorcycle had exited the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and injured.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
It is unknown at this time of speed or intoxication was a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
