A crash in Algiers has left a motorcyclist dead.
According to New Orleans police, the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Thursday on L. B. Landry Avenue just north of the Crescent City Connection.
Police initially reported that a car hit the motorcycle. However, an NOPD spokesperson later clarified that the motorcyclist lost control and struck a utility pole. The biker died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
