Temps fell into the 30s overnight.
"It is a cold morning," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone noted.
At 6:00am it was 32 in Hammond with a wind chill making it feel like 26 degrees. The airport reported 42 degrees, feeling like 34.
"Today will stay cool and sunny in the 50s. Tonight will be cold again with another frost/freeze north of the lake."
Malone says highs Wednesday will be back in the mid 60s, then 70s Thursday and Friday with 80s this weekend.
"Along with the warm up, there will be a slight bump in humidity, but not muggy. Very pleasant all week and weekend!"
