UPDATE 2:40 PM 11-10-21: The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a mass shooting that injured four people and killed one person on Tuesday. St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne implored members of the public to come forward about the shooting Wednesday afternoon at a news conference.
Sheriff Champagne said they have no actionable evidence at the moment and need the public to come forward with leads. He said so far the most they can piece together is that the ambush attack was retribution for a previous incident, and part of an ongoing multi-parish feud between opposing "clans or families".
