The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred today in Marrero.
Just after 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of gunshots on Ames Boulevard between 4th and Salome Streets.
Within a few minutes, a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was brought to a local hospital by a private vehicle.
He was accompanied by a female victim who was shot in the foot.
The male victim later succumbed to his injuries.
The female victim is expected to be treated and released.
There is no victim or suspect information available at this time.
