The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday night in Avondale.
"Around 8:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the report of a male being shot in the 400 block of Federal Dr. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male outside the residence on the ground," Sergeant Brandon Veal said in an email. "The victim was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene."
He said that as of 11:00pm, they had no suspect or motive.
