Two men are dead after gunfire Thursday evening.
"Police were called to the 9600 block of Old Gentilly Road shortly before 6:15 p.m. on a report of a shooting," according to a news release.
NOPD says officers found two adult male victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
"New Orleans EMS confirmed one of the victims was deceased and transported the other victim to hospital."
The second victim later died at the hospital.
Initial reports indicate detectives believe one man shot the other, and then turned the gun on himself.
