Today, the Krewe of Muses would be parading if it were a normal Mardi Gras season, however, the pandemic killed parades, so the crew is getting creative on this 'tHERsday'.
Muses will honor frontline health care workers fighting the pandemic by surprising random people in 12 New Orleans hospitals with one of their signature high heeled “Glitter Shoe” throws.
“On Muses 'tHERsday', we won’t be taking to the streets on floats, but if you hear a knock at the door or feel a tap on your shoulder, don’t be surprised. It’s our way of spreading Mardi Gras magic by gifting Glitter Shoes to courageous health care workers and our fellow Carnival-craving New Orleanians,” said Muses Captain Staci Rosenberg.
Twenty one shoes called 'Heels for Healer' will be handed out representing the krewe’s 21st Anniversary.
