Elon Musk and Donald Trump, who once shared the Oval Office as friends and coworkers, are now at odds.

Thursday, Musk made a bold claim: Trump wouldn't have won his second term had it not been for his help.

"Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House, and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate," said Musk on X.

Musk then went on to call Trump ungrateful.

All of this comes amid Musk's stepping away as a special employee of the White House as leader of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), which fell right around the time when Musk began criticizing Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill."

Trump recently expressed deep dissapointment about Musk's opposition, and denied Musk's claims that he would've lost the election without him.

Trump said in a White House interview, “I would have won Pennsylvania regardless of Elon…I’m very disappointed with Elon. He knew this bill better than anyone, and he only developed a problem when he found out I would cut the EV mandate."

So, is there a chance of the two patching things up? Trump said in that same White House meeting, "Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will any more."
