Catholics in New Orleans will return to in-person Masses starting this Sunday, June 6.
Since March of last year, the archdiocese put in place its dispensation due to the pandemic.
The return to Mass coincides with the Feats of the Body and Blood of Christ also known as Corpus Christi.
“On this day, we will celebrate God’s loving invitation to set aside Sundays to receive his gift of the Eucharist with one another and to spend quality time with those we love,” said Archbishop Gregory Aymond in a letter to Catholics. “This is how we respond to Christ’s invitation to ‘come to the table.’”
