Firefighters in New Orleans battled a two-alarm fire at a Broadmoor home Thursday night.

It happened at a two-story home in the 1800 block of South Dupre Street about 11:18 p.m.

When fire crews arrived, they hear their might be people trapped inside the blaze, which prompted firefighters to call in a second alarm.

Firefighters entered the burning home to do a search while the other crew attacked the fire. No one was found inside the home but two dogs were found and safely rescued.

The NOFD says it took 17 fire units carrying 40 firefighters to get the fire under control.
