A Baton Rouge man who allegedly tried to sexually abuse two guard dogs appears to have been arrested and is awaiting arraignment, according to Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office records.

Capital Region Crime Stoppers – a privately owned, non-profit organization – posted screenshots of the man, now identified at 28-year-old Rage Hewitt, on Facebook Friday. Taken from May 20 security video footage, the images show Hewitt in the nude.

According to WBRZ, an arrest warrant for Hewitt said he forced his way on to a business property on Cedarcrest Avenue in Baton Rouge and began removing his clothing. He allegedly removed boards from a wooden fence to access the property and began chasing guard dogs around the property.

On camera, Hewitt can be seen tying a shirt around one dog’s mouth and holding his genitalia near the animals’ face while his back is turned. Police said that Hewitt was able to corner one of the dogs off camera during the approximately 15-minute incident, per the WBRZ report. As Hewitt cornered the animal, it can be heard yelping.

Authorities said it is not clear exactly what Hewitt did to the animals off-camera. One of the dogs was later treated for a cut to its leg.

“After approximately 15 minutes of chasing the animals around the yard unclothed, the defendant eventually gives up, gathers his [loose] clothing, and exits the property through the previously removed fence panels,” one officer wrote, according to WBRZ.

Information available to the public through the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office website Saturday indicated that a Rage Hewitt had been arrested on a felony charges as of the early morning hours of May 21, and was being held in Ascension Parish Jail with bond set at $25,000.
