Officials reported finding a National Guard soldier dead Friday in a Louisiana Department of Public Safety parking lot.
Witnesses said they first saw police outside the state’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Friday morning. Paramedics pronounced the soldier died at the scene in Baton Rouge.

Authorities have not released an official cause of death. In addition, investigators have not identified the Guardsmen or commented on the circumstances surrounding their death.
Sources close to the mysterious death described it as a suicide, WRBZ reported.
