Authorities have not released an official cause of death. In addition, investigators have not identified the Guardsmen or commented on the circumstances surrounding their death.

Sources close to the mysterious death described it as a suicide, WRBZ reported.

National Guardsmen from across the nation have deployed to help Louisiana as it recovers from Hurricane Idea. At least 15 states have offered soldiers help with even more arriving Tuesday.
